Paper Macaw


This will be the base for a wing.  Start with a 4 inch square and cut it in half.  Glue the two pieces end to end.  Use it to make one wing.  Make another for your second wing.

Select a color.  Make several 4 inch squares.  Follow these steps to make the feathers.

Glue the feathers onto the rectangle.

Select a second color of your choice and follow these steps to make the small feathers.
Yes the paper is blue in the video but its the same procedure you will use.

Attach the second color feathers to your wing.

Select a third color for your little feathers.  Follow the steps to make your small feathers.

Attach your second color of little feathers.

Attach a strip of poster board that will hold the two wings together on the body of the bird.  The poster board is about 6 inches by 1.5.  It is double layered to make it stronger.

The tail

Make the cover for the area between the wings.

The wings and other items are attached to the body.
